Wright, John

Born in West Palm Beach, Florida. Graduate of Southern Technical Institute (Chamblee, GA) and masters from Georgia Institute of Technology in 1970. Married to Mabel Ann Tippin with three children.
Served as Treasurer for EAC after 1972. He received the EAC "Man of the Year" award in 1972. He discovered the large cent varieties 1838 #16 in 1973 and 1835 #19 in 1982.
He has contributed more than 250 articles to Penny- Wise. He has been a contributor to the "Red Book." Author of The CENT Book 1816-1839 issued in 1992.
Named a Numismatic Ambassador in 2002 with Mable Ann.
