Hart, Adolphus

Born in Trois-Riviers. Studied law and admitted to the bar in Canada in 1836. Married Constance Hatton Hart. They had three daughters and two sons including Gerald Ephraim Hart.

Hart moved to the United States in 1850 and became active in the Democratic Party in New York. He returned to Canada in 1857.

Author of History of the Issues of Paper Money in the American Colonies (1851). Author of History of the Discovery of the Valley of the Mississippi  (1852). 

He died in Montreal.
