Elmer, Lucius

Born in Bridgeton, New Jersey. Graduated from the University of Pennsylvania. Served in the militia during the War of 1812. Studied law and admitted to the bar. Married Catharine hay on October 6, 1818.

Represented New Jersey in the House of Representatives March 4, 1843 to March 3, 1845.

Author of History of the Early Settlement and Progress of Cumberland County, New Jersey: and the Currency of this and Adjoining Colonies.

He died in Bridgeton, New Jersey.
