Documentos Sobre Alteraciones de Precios y del Mercado Monetario en Puerto Rico (1866)

This short book is composed of transcripts from a complete file of the National Historical Archive of Madrid. It corresponds to the signature of ULTRAMAR, 1128, Exp. 39 and is entitled "On price and money market changes." The file consists of biweekly referrals of comparative notes of the current prices of consumer items in Puerto Rico and those before exchanging the cob coins on the island (1857). These are statements, the money market's turns, and its alterations from that moment. The transcribed file was accompanied by three copies of consumer goods price notes and six states, all dated April 29 and May 14 and 30, 1866.

En este breve libro de transcripciones que tenemos ante ustedes es un legajo íntegro del Archivo Histórico Nacional de Madrid. El mismo corresponde a la signatura de ULTRAMAR, 1128, Exp.39 y lleva por título “Sobre alteraciones de precios y del mercado monetario”. El legajo consta de remisiones quincenales de notas comparativas de los precios actuales de los artículos de consumo en Puerto Rico y los anteriores al cambio de la moneda macuquina en la isla, para el año 1857; los estados de los cambios, los giros del mercado monetario, y sus alteraciones desde ese momento. En el legajo que hemos transcrito, el mismo estaba acompañado de 3 ejemplares de notas de precios de artículos de consumo y de 6 estados, todos de fechas 29 de abril y 14 y 30 de mayo de 1866.
