(4), xlvi, (2), 504 pages; 36 fine plates depicting over 500 jetons. Binding worn, particularly at spine; rear endpapers damp-stained, with some waviness to plates. Still very good. An important and very scarce work on French jetons, meticulously describing some 2334 pieces in the collection of the Bibliothèque Nationale (of which the author served as the librarian of the Department of Coins and Antiquities).
