Gentil

also known as Gentil, a Portuguese gold coin issued in the reign of Fernando I (1367-1383). Like the Chaise d'Or it represents the King seated on a throne under a canopy, and on the reverse a cross formed of five shields within an outer circle composed of eight castles.
