Venetian

The popular, though not the authorized, name for the Zecchino, which was struck at Venice. See Gubber.

Venetians are referred to in the mone- tary ordinances of the island of St. Helena for the years 1750, 1819, 1823, 1830, and 1836, as varying in value, and ranging from nine Shillings to nine Shillings and four Pence.
