Beaded
Beaded. A design element formed of a row of small hemispheres or oval-shaped dots, otherwise called dentiles. Beaded borders are most often located near the edge. Beaded rows found inside the border take the name of their shape: beaded ovals, beaded rings and beaded inner circles. The first American coin, the Sommer Island shilling has such a beaded inner circle. See border.
