Clothed
Clothed. A human figure appearing on a numismatic or medallic item draped or dressed with any form of covering or clothing. A figure or bust is said to be clothed or draped in contrast to undraped or nude (these terms are used in cataloging such pieces). Generally clothing appears as the costume of the period and is one way for the designer to indicate status of the subject. Also adding detail or ornamentation to the clothing is the best way to adorn a design. See costume and clothing.
