Concealed Bar.  A ribbon drape hung from a bar or brooch in with the ribbon covers the bar obscuring it from view. The bar may accommodate a single medal or a group of medals. The bar always has a pinback or clasp for mounting on a garment or uniform. The National Capitol Centennial Medal of 1900 was issued with a concealed bar.
