Full Size

Full Size.  The larger size when a medal, hung from a ribbon drape and intended to be worn, is issued it two sizes. This is in contrast to a MINIATURE, usually half size of the larger medal. The term is particularly used in describing DECORATIONS and CAMPAIGN MEDALS where full size medals are issued for wearing on a uniform and the miniature for formal wear or other authorized use. Both the ribbon and the medal are half size for the miniature medal. Both medal and ribbon can be termed “full size” for the larger medal.
