Hob, Hobbing.  Variant spelling of hub, hubbing based on how the word is pronounced. Many oldtime diesinkers still utilize hob and hobbing (rhymes with rob, robbing), while the modern trend is to use hub and hubbing (rhymes with rub, rubbing).
