Incomplete Punch

Incomplete Punch.  A blanking error in which the blanking punch did not push a blank completely through the strip metal but only scored the surface; it is later blanked at

a different position. When such a blank is struck it will exhibit the scored mark as a line, an incuse arc under the design; this may occur on one or both sides of the struck piece where the arcs are in congruent position. It is also called incomplete clip.
