Indents

Indents.  A collectors' term for an impressed error, particularly where a blank or struck coin of smaller diameter was impressed on one of larger size. The second coin or blank rests on the proper blank in coining position. It may lie entirely within the collar, or only partially covering the proper blank.  See impressed error.
