Quarter Round

Quarter Round.  A border element forming an arc between the background and rise of the rim. A quarter round is perhaps the simplest form of juncture from the background to the rim, eliminating any sharp rise at this point and shaping an artistic border. It is formed with a template when the basin or background plate is made.  See molded border.
