Straight Edge Clip
Straight Edge Clip. A type of clipped planchet in which the punch was not positioned properly over the metal strip but instead punched a blank off the edge or off the end of the strip. The blank is not a perfect circle but is missing a portion which looks cut off with a fairly straight edge. If the edge or end was not machined smooth on the strip and had a ragged edge, this may cause a ragged edge clip. See clipped planchet.
