Undraped

Undraped.  Without clothing, nude, said of a human figure or bust appearing on a numismatic or medallic item. The undraped figure presents a heightened form of identification, facial features alone must identify the person portrayed. The nude figure is also timeless. Athletes are purposely shown nude on stock sports medals to indicate timelessness and not indicate membership in a particular team or class; this despite some apparent incongruities, as nude ice skaters.
