Spanish: The relief on a coin or medal. Also relieve. 2. An issue of coins. In colonial times this term referred to the number of coins minted from a marco castillano of gold or silver, see Talla monetal below. 3. Tribute money paid to the Crown of Aragon for coinage rights.
