Early Paper Money of America / Rhode Island / 1715 July 5 and 1726 June 14, both redated 1733
£104,000 (£100,000 and £4,000) in indented Bills of Credit issued pursuant to the July 1733 Acts for mortgage loans (constituting the Fifth Bank) and for cannon for Fort George. Silver was then valued at 25s per ounce. The bills were printed from the same plates used for 1731 re-dating with the date "1733" added without disturbing prior dates. Signers were Jahleel Brenton, William Coddington, George Goulding, Daniel Updike, and John Wanton.
