£30,000 ($133,333 1/3) in legal tender Bills known as Black Money (black borders) and redeemable with 5% interest by May 1, 1786 pursuant to the June 8, 1780 Act. Same borders as two prior State issues, but their position was shifted. The back has State Arms. Printed by Frederick Green. Issued by the Treasurer of the Western Shore and secured by the existing deposit in England of Bank of England stock and by confiscated Tory property. Signers were John Callahan, Joseph Cowman, Frederick Green, Nicholas Harwood, Thomas Johnson, Jr., and Isaac McHard.
