Early Paper Money of America / Massachusetts / 1784 December 2 Massachusetts Bank

$11,000 in engraved Bank Notes for smaller transactions. Originally the integral denominations had been approved on Nov. 22, 1784, but they were added to the Dec. 2, 1784 emission instead. All fractional denomination bank notes were withdrawn from circulation after Jan. 5, 1786. Same signers appeared as on the previous issue. This and many subsequent issues of Massachusetts Bank were reprinted by the American Bank Note Company from the original plates in celebration of the 100th Anniversary of the Bank in 1884.
