Early Paper Money of America / New Hampshire / 1787 January 26, Unknown Issuer

The numismatic inventory of the New York State Library in Albany in 1856 listed an 8d bill from New Hampshire as a donation from the North Dutch Church, which originally had a large group of small change notes received as contributions from its congregation. Whether the North Dutch Church issued these notes is not clear. The New York State Library collection was destroyed by fire in 1912 and no further detail is known of this issue. Other denominations are probable.
