Early Paper Money of America / New York / 1790 July 3 to February 18, 1793, City of Albany

The Common Council of the City of Albany approved small change notes on six occasions, the date of authorization becoming the date of the notes except that the Feb. 13, 1792 resolution was for the Jan. 13, 1792 notes. Notes were issued with printed signature of E. Willett, Treasurer. Various small sizes exist. The faces of the August 28, 1790 issue are printed in red. Some of the Jan. 13, 1792 issue is on blue paper. Printed by C. R. & G. Webster of Albany.
