| Description | Alan V. Weinberg comments: I've seen only a very few in silver or bronze and, as I recall, none were awarded/engraved. Sometimes, due to the cost of engraving and the necessity of separating the medal awardee from his medal, it was left unengraved and up to the recipient , at his own cost, to have an inscription engraved - which was often not then done. |
