| Description | 1842 Proof Original Breen 1-A R6+ PCGS Graded "Genuine", XF Details, Environmental Damage. Silvered. Glossy medium brown and chocolate with frosty light silvery steel in protected areas, especially on the reverse, apparently from a coating or plating of silver or some similar light-colored metal. The coating has mostly worn off but there is enough remaining to be obvious. The only notable mark is a pinprick in the field off the tip of the coronet. The fields are smooth and glossy but not reflective. Weight 80.0 grains. Our grade is Proof-25. Would rate a higher grade if not for the silvering.
