Addressed to Mrs. A.B. Gardenborn, Rosewall, Mass., [?] Manufacturer's text: Sherman Statue and U.S. Treasury, Washington, D.C. The statue of Gen. Wm. tecumseh Sherman, Washingotn, D.C., stands south of hte U.S. Treasury and just southeast of the White House. It overlooks Pennsylvania Ave., amid surroundings that are ideal for a colossal monument. The sculptor, Carl Rohl Smith, has protrayed Gen. Sherman, just as he rode up historic Pennsylvania Ave. Many times in parade mid the plaudits of the people. The bas reliefs around the pedestal represent episodes of his life.
