Manufacturer's text: "The U.S. Treasury, Washington, D.C., is at 15th and Pennsylvania Ave., just east of the White House. It is 486 feet long, 264 feet wide and cost $6,000,000. This department of the Government manages the Finances of the nation, collects internal revenue and customs duties, pays the expenses of maintaining the Government, prevents counterfeiting through its Secret Service, through its Life Saving Service looks after the safety of the people at sea, and through its Hospital Service, looks after the health of the nation. With its holdings of over a quarter of a billion dollars in money it is naturally strongly guarded. A large force of watchmen patrol the building at all times. Electrical alarms are maintained and tested every half hour and enough fire arms are stored to arm a thousand men on the instant. Besides there is connection with Fort Myer, Washington Barracks and the Police Department. Visitors are shown the Cash Roon, the Secret Service Museum, the Vaults and Safety devices, the process of counting and printing the seal on paper currency, and the macerating of worn-out money."
