1830 H10C MS65 NGC. CAC. V-3, LM-4.2, R.2. The reverse die was used for six different die marriages in eight appearances dated 1829 and 1830, and all of the coins from this reverse were struck in 1830 or later. The varieties in order were: 1830 LM-4.1, 1830 LM-5, 1829 LM-16.1, 1829 LM-17, 1829 LM-16.2, 1830 LM-4.2, 1830 LM-6, and 1830 LM-12. The 1830 V-3, LM-4 die marriage saw the first use of Reverse J (LM-4.1), and also the sixth use of the reverse die (LM-4.2). This lovely Gem has brilliant and highly lustrous ivory surfaces. Splashes of pale gold and navy-blue toning appear close to the borders. An impressive Gem for the advanced variety aficionado. Census: 35 in 65, 36 finer (10/13) for all 1830 varieties. Ex: Eric P.
