||1838 H10C Large Stars, No Drapery MS66 NGC. Ex: "Col." E.H.R. Green. The 1838 No Drapery half dimes followed the 1837 No Stars coins that ushered in the Seated Liberty design. A further modification took place in 1840 with the addition of an extra fold of drapery at Liberty's elbow. This appealing, sharply struck Large Stars, No Drapery Premium Gem example reveals rich toning in shades of blue, mahogany, and yellow-gold. Census: 49 in 66 (1 in 66+, 1 in 66 S), 29 finer (10/13).
