Description 1838 10C Large Stars MS66+ NGC. CAC. Fortin-108a. Ex: "Col." E.H.R. Green. The so-called "Partial Drapery" variety resulted from a clash of the E in DIME near the elbow, though the clashmark is moderately faded on this example. The flag of the 1 in the date is repunched. Satiny and intricately struck with smooth surfaces and dusky olive-gray, lilac, and chestnut-brown toning. Census: 29 in 66 (1 in 66+), 11 finer (10/13). Ex: "Colonel" E.H.R.
