1879 10C PR67+ NGC. CAC. Ex: "Col." E.H.R. Green. The 1879 dime is very scarce in both business strike and proof formats. Only 15,100 pieces were struck for circulation plus another 700 proofs. The centers of both obverse and reverse on the Newman example are bright rose and the margins display a wide band of blue. The patina is transparent and the mirrored fields flash brightly.
