1887 10C PR67 NGC. Ex: "Col." E.H.R. Green. More than 11 million dimes were struck for circulation in 1887, but only 710 proofs were produced. The fields on this example are glassy and highly reflective, as easily seen when examined beneath a light. The fields flash strongly through the original layers of blue, gray, and rose patina. We see no contact marks on either side of this Superb Gem proof. Census: 10 in 67 (1 in 67 S, 1 in 67+ S), 0 finer (10/13). Ex: "Colonel" E.H.R. Green; Green Estate; Partnership of Eric P. Newman / B.G. Johnson d.b.a. St. Louis Stamp & Coin Co.; Eric P. Newman @ $2.00; Eric P. Newman Numismatic Education Society.
