1834 25C MS64+ NGC. CAC. B-3, R.3. Ex: "Col." E.H.R. Green. Slender die cracks through the cap and above the eagle attribute this fully struck and thoroughly lustrous Capped Bust quarter. Apple-green, cherry-red, and chestnut-gold toning is present but confined to the obverse periphery. The obverse exhibits prominent clash marks and neither side has any individually mentionable marks. This is the second finest known 1834 B-3 quarter. Census: 47 in 64 (3 in 64+), 19 finer (10/13) for all 1834 varieties. Ex: "Colonel" E.H.R. Green; Green Estate; Partnership of Eric P. Newman / B.G.
