1847 25C MS64 NGC. CAC. Ex: "Col." E.H.R. Green. An elusive date in Mint State despite the mintage exceeding 730,000 coins. This near-Gem offers dove-gray surfaces that are quite well-struck, showing daubs of russet, gold, and pinkish-gray. A single nick appears in the reverse field, above the eagle's right (facing) wing, but this is a highly appealing coin. Census: 14 in 64, 4 finer (10/13). Ex: "Colonel" E.H.R.
