1856 25C MS66 NGC. Vivid olive and jade occupy the obverse of this piece, complementing gold tinges on both sides with ocean-blue around the reverse rim. Generous luster appears on both sides, but the strike is somewhat blunt on the peripheral stars, Liberty's head, and on the eagle's claws on the reverse. The eye appeal on this example is strong. Census: 7 in 66, 0 finer (10/13). Ex: "Colonel" E.H.R. Green; Green Estate; Partnership of Eric P. Newman / B.G. Johnson d.b.a. St. Louis Stamp & Coin Co.; Eric P. Newman @ $2.50; Eric P.
