1909 25C MS65 NGC. CAC. Ex: "Col." E.H.R. Green. Gorgeously toned on both sides, this Gem possesses a tremendous degree of visual appeal. Among the colors present are vibrant frosty yellow, fuchsia, red, sea-green, and dusky orange. The coin is well struck, with only minor incompleteness noted. Minor marks are present, but do not pose a distraction due to the beautifully toned surfaces. Despite a Philadelphia mintage of 9,268,000 quarters in 1909, the number of survivors at the upper grade levels is quite small. Census: 33 in 65, 13 finer (10/13). Ex: "Colonel" E.H.R. Green; Green Estate; Partnership of Eric P. Newman / B.G. Johnson d.b.a. St. Louis Stamp & Coin Co.; Eric P. Newman @ $3.00; Eric P. Newman Numismatic Education Society.
