1911 25C PR67+ S NGC. CAC. By the end of the Barber design's life, proof mintages were on a downswing. The dollar no longer was included, matte proofs were unpopular, and perhaps the only aspect of proofs with a lower approval rating was the Barber design itself. It is the toning that makes this PR67+ S specimen beautiful, a mix of blue-violet, gold, and green hues that has regular concentricity on the reverse but is a touch more wild on the obverse. Census: 15 in 67 (1 in 67+ S), 14 finer (10/13). Ex: Eric P. Newman Numismatic Education Society.
