1925 25C MS67+ Full Head NGC. The date of the Standing Liberty quarter was recessed in 1925 to solve the problem of excessive wear on the digits that had plagued the series in earlier years. The grading services indicate that there is an adequate supply of Full Heads through MS65, after which the population drops significantly. The present MS67+ is the single finest 1925 seen at NGC. Glowing mint luster shines through light toning and a solid strike imparts full detail not only to Liberty's head but also to the chain mail, rivets, and vertical stripes of the inner shield. Census: 13 in 67 (1 in 67+) Full Head, 0 finer (10/13). Ex: Eric P. Newman Numismatic Education Society.
