1930 25C MS67 Full Head NGC. CAC. The 1930 is one of the most popular coins in the Standing Liberty quarter series, especially among type collectors. It has a relatively high mintage, exceeding 5.6 million pieces, and a high percentage were struck with Full Head details. However, the surviving population thins out considerably at the MS67 level (NGC and PCGS have seen only 60 or so MS67 Full Heads and none finer). Radiantly lustrous surfaces display soft golden-orange patina in the centers ceding to deeper hues of this color palette at the margins, where it is joined by deep maroon on the obverse. In addition to the Full Head, the chain mail and vertical stripes of the inner shield are bold. Tremendous overall eye appeal, aptly recognized by CAC. Census: 31 in 67 (1 in 67 S) Full Head, 0 finer (10/13). Ex: Eric P. Newman Numismatic Education Society.
