1794 50C VF25 NGC. O-104, R.5. Ex: "Col." E.H.R. Green. The O-104, O-105 and O-106 die marriages are the most frequently seen 1794 varieties after the O-101. Perhaps 60 examples of each variety survive today. The Newman O-104 is a middle die state example with light clash marks on the obverse and a familiar reverse rim break over the ER of AMERICA. Both sides have mottled orange, heather, and iridescent toning with a good strike and nice centering. The surfaces show minor marks that are consistent with the grade. Ex: "Colonel" E.H.R. Green; Green Estate; Partnership of Eric P. Newman / B.G. Johnson d.b.a. St. Louis Stamp & Coin Co.; Eric P. Newman @ $75.00; Eric P. Newman Numismatic Education Society.
