1794 50C VG8 NGC. CAC. O-107, R.6. Ex: "Col." E.H.R. Green. A rare 1794 variety with less than 20 examples known in all grades; the finest known example grades a modest VF25. The Eric P. Newman specimen is nearly in the condition census for the variety. This is an important offering for the specialist. The Newman specimen, while well-worn, has exceptional surfaces with deep gray fields and reddish-tan devices, presenting a lovely two-tone appearance. Outstanding eye appeal for the grade.
