1831 50C MS63 NGC. CAC. O-113, R.4. Ex: "Col." E.H.R. Green. A scarcer Overton pairing often identified by the absence of arrow shafts within the eagle's claw, "because of severe lapping of the die" per Dr. Peterson. This virtually unabraded Bust half exhibits dusky cream-gray and almond-gold patina. A good strike, though the stars and the top of the eagle's head are incompletely defined. This example is the finest graded 1831 O-113 half dollar. Ex: "Colonel" E.H.R. Green; Green Estate; Partnership of Eric P. Newman / B.G. Johnson d.b.a. St. Louis Stamp & Coin Co.; Eric P. Newman @ $2.00; Eric P. Newman Numismatic Education Society.
