1851 50C MS61 NGC. WB-101. Ex: "Col." E.H.R. Green. From a small mintage of 200,750 pieces, the 1851 Seated Liberty dollar is a scarce and underrated issue which Randy Wiley and Bill Bugert rate as Low R.7 in Mint State. This attractive MS61 example exhibits sharply detailed design elements and vibrant mint luster on both sides. The mostly brilliant surfaces are visited by deep shades of sea-green and lavender toning at the borders. Census: 5 in 61, 19 finer (9/13). Ex: "Colonel" E.H.R. Green; Green Estate; Partnership of Eric P. Newman / B.G. Johnson d.b.a. St. Louis Stamp & Coin Co.; Eric P. Newman @ $7.50; Eric P. Newman Numismatic Education Society.
