1876-CC 50C MS65 NGC. Large CC. WB-103, Die Pair WB-2, R.3. Ex: "Col." E.H.R. Green. A second and even finer example of the WB-2 die pairing. The reverse die crack along the top of (AME)RICA is especially pronounced on this piece, as is the vertical die line behind the eye of Liberty. This Carson City half dollar displays layers of thick gray and faint rose toning overall with a strong presence of blue beneath. The underlying mint luster is especially pronounced and is not subdued by the layers of color. The strike details are complete throughout and there are no noticeable abrasions present on this extraordinary CC half dollar. Ex: "Colonel" E.H.R. Green; Green Estate; Partnership of Eric P.
