1877-CC 50C MS64 NGC. Type Two Reverse. WB-103, Die Pair WB-9, R.4. Ex: "Col." E.H.R. Green. This near-Gem 1877-CC has a Type Two reverse hub (closed lower berry) and a Medium CC mintmark. The reverse die has the mintmark uniquely positioned low in the field below the olive branch and feather tip. This is the only Type Two 1877-CC with this reverse. This coin has impressive blue-steel and gray fields with silver highlights. Virtually abrasion-free.
