1877 50C PR65 Cameo NGC. Ex: "Col." E.H.R. Green. This Gem proof is from an issue of only 510 specimens, a low mintage that was a reaction of sorts to the excesses of the production in 1876, the centennial year. Gleaming silver-white interiors yield to peripheral toning that is mostly blue to violet with touches of gold that are more noticeable on the reverse. Ex: "Colonel" E.H.R.
