1888 50C PR66 Cameo NGC. WB-101. Ex: "Col." E.H.R. Green. Unlike most of the other dates in this low-mintage decade, where only one pair of dies was used for both circulation strikes and proofs, one other die is known for 1888. This bright, flashy proof shows the mirrored fields one would expect from a high-grade proof striking.
