1908 50C PR66+ NGC. CAC. Ex: "Col." E.H.R. Green. The 1908 is one of the scarcer proofs in the Barber half series, most likely resulting from its relatively low mintage of 545 pieces. Whispers of yellow-gold and rainbow-like toning cling to the margins of this high-end Premium Gem and a solid strike imparts sharp detail to the design elements. Census: 27 in 66 (2 in 66+), 17 finer (10/13). Ex: "Colonel" E.H.R. Green; Green Estate; Partnership of Eric P. Newman / B.G. Johnson d.b.a. St. Louis Stamp & Coin Co.; Eric P. Newman @ $6.00; Eric P. Newman Numismatic Education Society.
