1927-S 50C MS65 NGC. CAC. Ex: "Col." E.H.R. Green. The 1927-S Walking Liberty half dollar was not a well-produced issue, and the typical example is softly struck on all the usual trouble spots. This coin is better-than-average in that regard. Although Liberty's wreath hand lacks complete detail and there is little definition on the eagle's leg feathers, the peripheral design elements are actually pretty sharp. Vibrant mint luster is evident, under dusky shades of golden-tan and lavender toning, and the well-preserved surfaces show few signs of contact. Census: 35 in 65, 0 finer (9/13). Ex: "Colonel" E.H.R. Green; Green Estate; Partnership of Eric P. Newman / B.G. Johnson d.b.a. St. Louis Stamp & Coin Co.; Eric P. Newman @ $4.00; Eric P. Newman Numismatic Education Society.
