1874-CC T$1 AU55 NGC. CAC. Ex: "Col." E.H.R. Green. Producing Trade dollars at the Carson City Mint in thoroughly landlocked Nevada makes little sense from a logistics standpoint, though it is more easily understood as a sop to mining interests in the "Silver State." This lightly worn second-year coin has glossy semi-reflective luster under deep, original patina, rose-to-violet with occasional hints of blue intermixed. Ex: "Colonel" E.H.R. Green; Green Estate; Partnership of Eric P. Newman / B.G. Johnson d.b.a. St. Louis Stamp & Coin Co.; Eric P. Newman @ $3.50; Eric P. Newman Numismatic Education Society.
