Producing Trade dollars at the Carson City Mint in thoroughly landlocked Nevada makes little sense from a logistics standpoint, though it is more easily understood as a sop to mining interests in the "Silver State." This lightly worn second-year coin has glossy semi-reflective luster under deep, original patina, rose-to-violet with occasional hints of blue intermixed. Ex: "Colonel" E.H.R.
